Kazimier X
April 20-22

Using laser-scanning technology, a full impression of the architectural framework of The Kazimier club was captured just weeks before its demolition in January 2016. This exhibition brings the previous building back to life on the site of the Kazimier’s new gallery space, paralleling its past and present states using video, photography and sound montage. The time warp created through Kazimier X pulls apart the structural DNA of the building to reveal the identity of the Kazimier as a timeless space of social and creative activity.

Exhibiting alongside the laser-scan commission are a series of images selected by photographers who have been involved with the Kazimier, each presenting a different perspective of the club’s history. There are contributions by Amina Bihi, Jack Whiteley, Andrew Ellis, Michelle Roberts, Sebastian Brueckner and John Johnson.
